Located a short flight or scenic drive
from Alaska's main travel hub of Anchorage,
Homer is without doubt one of Alaska's most
beautiful destinations.  A stop at the top of
Homer Hill rewards you with beautiful views
of steaming volcanoes, picturesque Kachemak
Bay, pristine glaciers, and snow-topped
mountains which rise from the sea.  World
renowned for fishing, Homer is also home to art galleries,
museums, state parks, fine dining, and award-winning
accommodations.

Homer's protected fishing grounds and super abundant
halibut population make it a mecca for sportfishermen.  Most
days it's not a question of
whether or not you'll catch
fish, it's a question of how
many and how BIG?!   Many
groups of anglers who fish
for multiple days will return
home with HUNDREDS of
pounds of fish!

Most fishermen visiting Homer choose to rent a car
in Anchorage and drive to Homer.  If fishing for multiple
days, you may want to consider renting a van so you'll have
room to take all that fish home with you!  If flying to Homer,
you will need to book the Anchorage to Homer portion of
your flight with either ERA Aviation or Grant Aviation.
